Your practical rental guide
What to check before requesting a car, at collection and when your rental ends.
Driving licence and identification
Check the minimum age, required driving experience and documents accepted by the company. Ask whether an international driving permit or translation is needed. Bring original documents and avoid sending copies through unverified channels.
Total price, deposit and payment
Review the total for your dates, extras and any amount payable at collection. The refundable deposit is separate from the rental price: confirm the amount, payment or hold method, accepted cards and release timeframe.
Insurance and responsibility for damage
Read the cover, the amount you may have to pay for damage and the exclusions. Ask specifically about glass, tyres, the underbody, lost keys and roadside assistance. Additional cover only applies under the company’s terms.
Mileage, fuel and crossing borders
Check the included mileage and excess-mileage charge. Follow the fuel policy and keep your last receipt. For travel outside Kosovo, request the company’s approval, necessary documents and cover in advance.
Inspect before driving away
Inspect existing damage with the representative and record it on the handover report. Photograph the vehicle, mileage and fuel level. Check lights and essential equipment; obtain the breakdown contact and accident instructions.
Additional drivers and equipment
Only drivers approved in the contract should drive the car. Request approval for additional drivers, child seats and other equipment in advance; check their fees and availability.
Changes, cancellation and return
Read cancellation conditions before submitting your request. Confirm date changes or extensions with the company. Return the vehicle at the agreed place and time, request a handover record and keep documents until the deposit is settled.
